6. It is offensive and shows pols wasting their and our time.
especially when we know that more than half will not ask substantive questions and try to run out the clock in other ways.

13. Yep, just to run out the clock so he can swing through
I was watching the introductions last night and noticed that he and his family all have this smug "I'm better than you" look on them. Maybe it's just me.

5. It's pure psychology! Can't be tough in front of the family...
I say so what. Be tough and hold nothing back. The guy isn't going to answer anything anyway. These confirmation hearings are always a joke. Republicans will throw softballs and spoon feed Alito.

7. I would give him an embarrassing one right out of the gate then
Do you support existing sodomy laws, and if so, have you ever engaged in sex acts that qualify, and would you therefore turn yourself into the police if you passed through a jurisdiction where these laws exist?

15. antigone382 and I scarfed it down and shared with the dawgs
but we did not see the visage of the Senator from New York on even one piece. No buttery virgin Mary or gooey crucifixion either!

I feel cheated now! x(

Actually, it's much better for the digestion to eat vegetarian cinnamon toast. :)

17. A Cajun low-country boil?
Edited on Tue Jan-10-06 03:36 AM by buddyhollysghost
The boys made us Low Country Boil on Tybee with fresh caught shrimp, corn-on-the-cob, taters and smoked sausage - steeped in Clam Boil of course.

I want to come down there ( to the Gulf) so badly. I have the time off but didn't budget enough for this break so I can't go. It bites.

Hope you are doing much better and things are starting to resemble something approaching normal ( whatever that is!)

12. I think one of the biggest misgivings btwn Miers and the fundies
was that she was single. They obviously want to milk Alito's indisputable heterosexuality for all it's worth.

18. It is important to show that his wife does not have visible beating marks
A good judge should follow the biblical principle of sparing the rod, especially around the head and ears. That is why it is so important to fundies to have hemlines dropped. In these trying times, one needs more real estate to work with when judiciously applying the rod to correct errant behavior, like speaking one's mind or asking for the right to vote or work.
