Emergency Plans? What if...
this site gets shut down? How would we communicate and keep informed?

Ok, maybe my tinfoil hat is on too tight, but after the intermittent problems I had getting the pages here to load this morning, and the ensuing paranoia I experienced, I started thinking that maybe we need emergency plans.

Why does Bush hate the Internets?

1. It was really, really slow this morning
I thought maybe it was just me. Seems to be working fine now. Occasionally there are server issues and it slows down for a while.

I'm thinking of problems
along the lines of a certain Chimpy McChimpster who might hate our freedoms and somehow shut the place down...

6. I knew what you meant
I think it's been discussed here before, but I don't remember if there was a plan.

4. If Chimpy had us shut down...
I'm sure the whole lot would disappear.

5. A Mirror Server In Another Country Might Help
But that costs money, and I don't understand the technicalities enough to know if that would be a full-proof solution. One thing is that the U.S. government can target specific sites, but it is very unlikely that they would shut all the internets down permanently -- commerce depends too much these days on the internets.
