4. Teaching English Is Big Business Here In CA...
Anybody who watched any of the Spanish language channels here in LA at least will recognize the Mexican celebs touting the "Ingles Sin Bareras" and umpteen other "Learn English" products and classes. They hawk them in newspapers and even on telephone polls ("Lose Your Accent In 6 Weeks Guaranteed!")

Of course if you're working 3 labor-intensive jobs just to get by it might take you awhile to learn another language.

11. Hmm.

I think the second one weakens its point by including the box about Halliburton. The best political cartoons make a single point very clearly, I think; trying to make two essentially unconnected ones at once doesn't really work. Apart from that it's well done, though.
