If Bush decides to invade Iran!

Will there be a vote in congress again to authorize the use of force? If so, what can we do in order not to re-live this nightmare we call "The War on Terra"? How much noise do we have to make?

Not much. They do not, as you might have noticed, operate by the rules. So, if they want to send a nuke to Iran without congressional approval, they will first change the rule, then do what they want. Make all the noise you want-it won't make a damn bit of difference. If they want to do this, they will- trust me and all the noise and anger and demands will do nothing. Look at Iraq. Look at the leaking of Valerie Plame. Look at torture.

3. Dubya decided long ago to invade Iran.

It's on the PNAC road map. I don't know how he could be stopped. He probably sees the pre-Iraq invasion authorization as a blank check to invade with impunity.

no vote is required. Last year Ms.Rice told a oversight committee that Bu$h was not required to seek congressional approval to attack anyone.

Of course allot of congresscritters my disagree, but so far all the disagreeing has lead nowhere. it's still being disagreed that the NSA can't do what they're doing but they're still doing it.

We are no longer a country of laws, of course this set's a very bad example for the rest of the population but that doesn't seem to bother anyone in DC.

They will assert that the original authorization
for the war on terra gives them carte blanche
to attack any nation that strikes their fancy.

5. They bow to no one. Murtha & Kerry calling for a pull out from Iraq is

a weak countr in contrast to bombing Iran. And our leaders are on Easter vacation. What does that say? Does it say they are in agreement with the PNAC plan?

I do believe that was part of the plan before. I think the plan was Iraq would go 'smoothly' allowing a staging area to then attack Iran. I believe the fighting in Iran along with Bush's horrible support at home from both voters and members of his own party have thrown this timetable in the crapper.

I still believe Iran is on the table as a part of PNAC but it is probably shelved until they turn over a new president in 2008 or 2012.

8. He's not going to invade Iran.

He's going to bomb their nuclear facilities. The military can't do an invasion of Iran. The best they could is seize the oil fields near the Iraq border and in the gulf. Even at that I really think he's facing the possibility of a revolt from the military brass.

Remember Iran is not the same military basket case Iraq was when we invaded them. They can fight back.
