State Department attacks "Economic Hit Man"

Trying to paint him as a conspiracy theorist loon and new age wacko. This is the part that is really outlandish, this quote at the end:

As to whether Perkins was acting at the behest of the U.S. government, the world is not �as he dreams it.�

Who ever is writing this for the State department is sure taking this personally to attack Perkin's "other interests" which have absolutely nothing to do with Confessions of an Economic Hit Man. This is an outrageous personal attack.

Washington -- John Perkins� popular, but misleading, book, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, is being released in paperback. Perkins claims that the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) recruited him to be an �economic hit man,� who deliberately entrapped foreign countries in unmanageable amounts of debt so they would be beholden to the United States. This appears to be a total fabrication. To the contrary, the U.S. government has led a recent initiative to cancel the debt of many heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC).

Perkins revealed his fondness for conspiracy theories during a January 10 presentation at a bookstore in Washington. At one point, he claimed, falsely, that the U.S. government had been involved in the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King Jr., former Beatle John Lennon, and several unnamed U.S. senators who had died in plane crashes.

2. What is most infuriating

is that this anonymous bit of propaganda is on an official government website, meaning that we taxpayers picked up the tab for its creation and dissemination. Too bad the "author" was unwilling to sign his/her name to the hit piece so that we could all evaluate his/her background, credibility, track record, and possible motivation.

Just filed a FOIA request as per your post:

This is a Freedom of Information Act Request. I would like any and all information concerning the author of this article: "Confessions -- or Fantasies -- of an Economic Hit Man?" on the State Departments "Identifying Misinformation" website. I also request all information concerning every State Department employee or private contractor who have submitted articles to USINFO.STATE.GOV webpages "Identifying Misinformation", the history of the website and it's creation.

Let's just turn the old "transparency game" around on the State Department. If they don't fulfill my request it means they got something to hide and any credibility that site may have had will be no more.

3. This is their SOP. I read the book. Perkins sounds self serving

at many points but I give him all the credit in the world for serving up the information.

Attack is what the Cabal does.

It's their finest tool.

In other news: the SD admits to having created debt in foreign countries. And the so-called canceling of those debts is nowhere near complete.

7. I picked up mention of the book

up from another thread about 3 weeks ago. According to amazon.co.uk it's not currently available ? Maybe they've been got at by Turdy Blur who maybe up to the same tricks ? So - I ordered it through amazon.com for UK delivery. Started reading the book the other night - seems quite sound to me and thoroughly pausible.

So when the US gets behind a bogus debt cancellation program that protects its ability to control a nations economic policy in response to a massive worldwide call for cancellation (not to mention an innate need to shift to a new model as countries couldnt repay the debt the US put them in to control them (as Perkins explains), it means the US is leading the iniative to cancel the debt.
