Did the NSA help Bush hack the vote?
January 9, 2006

<snip>

Illegal invasion of Iraq, suspending writs of habeus corpus, secret CIA torture dungeons, or election rigging? Most people outgrow such childish games and fantasies by the time they’re ten years old. And by age twelve, most understand that the President is not a king. Or a dictator. That U.S. citizens have inalienable rights.

...

The Bush administration’s utter contempt for the U.S. Constitution and the specific information we now know about its use of the National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance network should further call into question Bush’ 2004 presidential “election.” In a recent revelation, we have learned that the NSA shared the fruits of its illegal spying on behalf of Bush with other government agencies.

What are e-voting machines and central tabulators that pass the voting results over electronic networks from the internet to phone lines? No more than data easily spied on and tapped into. The Franklin County Board of Elections, for example, tells us that it was a “transmission error” in Gahanna Ward 1B, where 638 people cast votes and Bush, the Wonder Boy, received 4258 votes. It’s not magic, nor is it an accident or an act of God. If the vote total wasn’t so hugely illogical, no one would have caught it.

Bush and his cabal are notorious for collecting raw intelligence data and using it for their political gain. While many progressives accept the fact that our government manufactured an illegal war in Iraq and routinely violate human rights worldwide, many are reluctant to accept that they would spy on John Kerry and rig the election – which is very easy to do when the NSA does your bidding.

1. agree it would be a huge temptation
especially if one felt the Democrats were the enemy, and that a vote for Kerry was a vote
for Osama.

3. Did NSA help Bu$h
I don't know, wouldn't put it past them. I'm convinced that our country has been hijacked by this admin, I'm convinced this admin had something to do with 9-11, and electronic voting that stole the 2004 election.

Did NSA have anything to do with it? does it matter? really does it? What can be done to stop it, who among us can do anything about it? I'm not being a wise ass, I really want to know. I need to find this person, I need to talk to this person, I need help this person.

It's way past name calling, and finger pointing. It's curtains for our country, I can here this president saying FUCKED THE DOOMED! We're the doomed, and we're fucked!

32. We ABSOLUTELY have to get the CORRUPT ELECTION story out before
the '06 elections!

It's not only us activists who are screaming CORRUPT, read what the GAO Report on Electronic Voting Machines say:

Nothing is more important to the integrity of a democracy than than fair and transparent elections. The GAO recently released a 107 page scathing report on Electronic Voting Machines in our country. The report states that Electronic Voting Machines in the U.S. are NOT SECURE, NOT ACCOUNTABLE, NOT TRANSPARENT, NOT ACCURATE, AND ARE UNCERTIFIABLE. A bipartisan panel which included both Republican Congressman James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and Democratic Congressman John Conyers (D-MI) released a joint news release (a true rarity in these days of divisive politics) regarding his report, yet the main stream media has ignored it's important findings. Here is a link to the GAO Report:

Having overstepped their authority, the burden of proof is now on them to prove they DIDN'T access and abuse such data.

EASILY. No one watching them. They didn't have to tell co-workers who could have leaked it to the press. Oh yeah. NSA would have been the way to go.

9. Why would anyone think they would do otherwise? They know what ...
... is going to happen when they lose control of either the Congress or the Executive office -- they are going to be prosecuted for an array of crimes beyond all previous Administrations, combined. Motivating, I'd say; really, really MOTIVE-ating.

Peace.

14. Wow, Prof Freeman:
a third of the Kerry voters who showed up in exit polls in rural Republican-dominated areas simply don’t show up in the actual vote tally.

When I checked, there was one county that had so many more votes for Boxer than Kerry in CA, which would have actually reversed the total presidential race in that county.
I have to go back into my archives...I think it was Imperial, not sure off the top of my head. May have posted it in election reform a year ago...

Warren Co. defends lockdown decision
-----------------------------------------------------------------
FBI denies warning officials of any special threat

By Erica Solvig and Dan Horn
Enquirer staff writers

LEBANON - Warren County officials, facing scrutiny of their decision to lock down the administration building on election night, say they were responding to a terrorist threat that ranked a "10" on a scale of 1 to 10.

The information, which Commissioner Pat South said was previously deemed confidential, is coming out a week after the public was barred from viewing the Warren County vote count. The Ohio Secretary of State's office doesn't know of any other county in the state to impose such a restriction.

County officials initially said they feared that having reporters and photographers present could interfere with the ballot counting. They subsequently cited homeland security concerns.

Now, they say an FBI agent told them that Warren County ranked a "10" on a terrorism scale. However, state and federal homeland security officials said Tuesday they were unaware of any specific threat against the county.

County officials locked down the administration building on Justice Drive after the polls there had closed. Officials say having both a polling place and the board of elections in one location increased security concerns.

"It wasn't international terrorism that we were in fear of; it was more domestic terrorism," South said Tuesday. "I much prefer sitting here today telling you why we did implement security rather than why we didn't."

County board of elections officials had compiled a list of people who were approved for after-hours access, but that list didn't include reporters.

It also didn't include an approved ballot-count watcher.

"I was denied admission myself," said Jeff Ruppert, the Warren County counsel for the Kerry-Edwards campaign. "I had to present credentials."

18. And someone impersonating an FBI agent supposedly triggered the phony...
...Warren County (Ohio) "Terror Lockdown" late on election night at the Warren County Administration Building in Lebanon...just as they were about to count the votes... and just as the crucial results from Cuyahoga county were electronically coming in to the Ohio SOS Office (Headline: "Kerry Wins!"). Gee, what a coincidence! :eyes:

The Real FBI subsequently issued a statement that there was no "Alert" issued for the terror-plagued rural Southwestern Ohio county that night  --or any other night for that matter-- and that this phony FBI agent was not one of them. This mystery G-man, who remains unidentified to this day, has NSA written all over him. And here's why:

Impersonating a federal law enforcement officer is a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 912, a
federal felony (plus an Ohio felony plus felony inciting to panics plus...you get the picture). In a post 9/11 world few crimes are taken more seriously than using bogus federal credentials to falsify a contrived terror alert. Nevertheless, the Warren county Commissioners-- Republican Bush supporters all-- ordered no investigation into the felony. (Gee, what zany pranks will those Lebanon Jr High kids be up to next?!? :eyes: ). It has been totally swept under the rug.

Scarier still...the FBI, which knows its been royally scammed, has also failed to initiate an investigation. (Imagine the utter embarrassment among career FBI agents?)

This thing was squelched at the HIGHEST LEVELS...and the list of squelchees with both the statutory power and the political standing within the Bush Administration to pull it off, begins and ends with the NSA.

28. DOD's unsecure voting programs....
CNN and PsyOps story in counterpunch surmises military intelligence was distorting the 'news' so I see no reason why they wouldn't 'take it to the next level' and actually mess with an election.

FVAP voting assistance program
http://www.defenselink.mil/news/Aug2004/n08062004_2004080606.html

and the Pentagon's unsecure Online Voting Program
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A38236-2004Jan22.html

What OTHER unsecure methods would they enlist in their efforts to keep Bush Co. in power ? Outright counterfeiting of ballots perhaps ?
