1. Al Gore would have taken the warnings from Sandy Berger and
ran with them. We most likely would not have had a 911. We might have had several Saudis, Egyptians and others in the big house, but I doubt that the 911 scenario would have played out as it did.

2. I hope Al Gore recognizes that the best way for him to make real change
is by becoming the leader of the free world. If he became president, he would have the political clout to do it. Dam i want Al Gore for president, I think he could truly change the world.

3. I really hope he reconsiders making a run for President in 2008.
He is the president in my mind, and I have no doubt that this country would be in such a better place had he not been screwed over in 2000. I will support whoever gets the Democratic nomination in 2008, but I think Al Gore is the only candidate that I would be truly excited and passionate about.

By the way, welcome to DU sailingaway! :hi:

4.  Al Gore lovers: You must see this!
Hey Al Gore lovers: You must see this!

During the 2000 Presidential campaign, Al Gore, a movie fan in general and a fan of Being John Malkovich in particular, asked Spike Jonze to come down to his house for a day to follow him and his family around with a camera. Spike brought his tiny handheld video camera and came up with a portrait so real, so humanizing, and so powerful that of course Gore's advisors had to bury it.

You should all see it now.http://www.dailykos.com/story/2006/3/22/145814/201

If you'll do a search (meaning here at DU) there are some recent threads that link to the website for the film. It was picked up by Paramont after it got raves when it premiered at Sundance.

Gore in 08!

9. Gore looks great on the cover of VANITY FAIR
I just got my copy in the mail. It's Gore with Julia Roberts and George Clooney! I wish this man would run again. He's the only one who excites me.

10. I saw the trailor today!
I am so excited. This maybe the most important thing Gore ever does. The reality is he maybe able to accomplish a lot more OUTSIDE THE WHITEHOUSE.

Take the test everyone. I use 1/3 the carbon footprint than most Americans.
