I expect Specter to follow through on his intention to call for hearings quickly. Anyone know if more has been said about when?

5. This is Judicial, not Intelligence

I'm not sure that they will be closed. They are not there to look at the particulars of the spying - just who, when, and in what numbers will suffice to show the tapping took place and if that's classified so be it, but make it binary - either they did or they didn't, and Bush has already admitted the did.

So because the deed is already agreed to have occured there is no need for any classified material. What the Judicial Committee must come to a conclusion on is if the President acted within his powers. Nothing classified about that.
