1. Well, there's one with a little bit of sense. Hope all Democrats and
a few Repubs get on board with this.

5. During a "time of war"? jr has wrapped this whole thing up so tight
that he doesn't need approval to gas everybody in NYC if he feels the need for "national security".

7. That's my Rep!
He could teach * what HARD WORK really means.

On Monday, along w/Rep. Hooley, our state Senator Volger and state Rep. Roblan, he spoke at a rally for the salmon fisherman (and concerned citizens - like me). Due to new regulations, their salmon season has for all practical purposes been shut down.

Shut down = no income. Rep. DeFazio is working on a bill for disaster relief for the fisherman.

I will be watching to see who else in the congress will give their support wrt DeFazio's letter regarding Iran.

9. Backatcha!
Have you been to any rallies, town meetings, etc to hear him speak? I email him quite frequently and he (or his staff) always responds. They follow that up w/snail mail, at length and on topic.

He's giving me quite an education.

13. Yes
He spoke at the March 18th rally at the Eugene Federal Courthouse protesting the third anniversary of the invasion. I have also gone to his town meetings when possible, and I send his campaign $100 every year to claim my Oregon tax credit. I have even been to his Washington DC office a few times and met with his aides on education matters. Ane he gave me White House tour passes for my family - this was before the White House was despoiled by its current occupant.

Didn't Clinton bomb Afghanistan and Sudan in 1998 (in reaction to Al Qaida bombing our embassys in Kenya and Tanzania) and Iraq in "Operation Desert Fox" without Congressional approval? Did he have approval for Kosovo?

For the record, I oppose any form of military action against Iran, but I just want to get this out there about whether or not Congressional action can be used.
