MOMMAS AND POPPAS DEDICATE THIS TO THE ONES YOU LOVE
When your grandchild asks how all the pain they're living through began, what will you say?

DEDICATED TO THE ONE I LOVE
the MOMMAS and POPPAS

While I’m far away from you my baby

I know it’s hard for you my baby

Because it’s hard for me my baby

And the darkest hour is just before dawn

Each night before you go to bed my baby

Whisper a little prayer for me my baby

And tell all the stars above

This is dedicated to the one I love

(life can never be exactly like we want it to be)

I could be satisfied knowing you love me

(but there’s one thing I want you to do especially for me)

And it’s something that everybody needs

While I’m far away from you my baby

Whisper a little prayer for me my baby

Because it’s hard for me my baby

And the darkest hour is just before dawn

If there’s one thing I want you to do

Especially for me

And it’s something that everybody needs

Each night before you go to bed my baby

Whisper a little prayer for me my baby

And tell all the stars above

This is dedicated to the one I love

This is dedicated to the one I love

This is dedicated to the one I love

This is dedicated to the one I love

I NO LONGER CARE HOW THIS WAR BEGAN!
HERE'S A WAY TO END IT BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

2. Wonderful Easter post. I agree that why it started is an issue
for the courts - stopping this insanity now is an issue for all of us NOW.

For Whom the Bell Tolls
by John Donne

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manner of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

23. An excellent choice ...
My ONE NOVEL that I would hide away before the book burning would be, "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque:

Review by Jeffrey Leach -

The cover of this edition trumpets this as "the greatest war novel of all time." And so it is, but not in the way some people might think. This is the greatest war novel ever because Remarque's book is anti-war.

Those that read "All Quiet on the Western Front" will see warfare stripped of its flag waving, parades, and John Wayne glory.

War is death, with the glory going to the few who survive. :nuke:

keep up the good anti-war work! we're fighting the good fight for peace! whoever still supports the atrocities in Iraq can explain to their grand-children why they voted Republican again, right before we nuked Iran and started the LAST WORLD WAR, if any of us are still around.

not yet anyway... thanks for the kick... will we start another more devastating war, even before we end the current one? if we do it could easily escalate into the LAST WORLD WAR.

29. That was very moving...
...and the "Wage Peace" movie at the link was also very moving. I signed the petition.

We need to bring our troops home, and work with the international community to help Iraq rebuild and keep the peace. We should also foot most of the bill -- cheaper than what we're doing now and The Right Thing To Do.

Edited on Sun Apr-16-06 12:31 PM by Jeffersons Ghost
we're already spending $500 BILLION a year but that's just to destroy... it costs more to repair.

i'm glad you signed the petition at the end of the OP, thanks

44. Absolutely!.
I can walk to Nathan's and what is left of the parachute jump, and the Cyclone Roller coaster, and the NY Aquariam.! I can see the Verrazano Bridge from my porch!
Sadly, I was able to see the smoke of the Twin Towers on the day they were hit, and smell the burning for a couple of weeks as it floated over my neighborhood..
