Convening Of Iraqi Parliament Delayed Again, 4 Marines Killed And

other good news from Iraq. At least 35 people killed in bombings today, 10 kidnapped from 1 place of business, policemen killed, 21 police cadets missing, bodies found..... Just another day of mayhem and murder throughout the country.

How much longer can this go on before the ultimate breaking point is reached? Bad as things are they can get much, much worse. Five months have elapsed since the elections and there's still no government. It's clear that the elections meant nothing. Iraq is on the verge of falling into a full fledged civil war from a low level one. The tension between factions grows each day that a government isn't in place.

On Yahoo news, it says, "Embattled Rumsfeld on the Defensive". The article says that Bush and Rumsfeld are under intense pressure to show some improvement in Iraq".

Rumsfeld has been at it for 6 years. And he's going to improve now? Like, within 2 or 3 weeks so they can show some improvement before the mid-term elections?

Yeah right.

They'll throw him out, and then maybe things will improve.
