Now, if I heard this correctly then we should make that part of our message to America. We democrats if elected will give this country more work days. the people should be outraged over this.

1. Well...
Did the Democrats approve of this?

They get paid $150,000+ and they only have to work 97 days. Doesn't that make you sick?

4. For one....
They could speak out against being in session for 97 days. They could also refuse to vote for a raise while there are millions of Americans trying to decide whether to buy food or medicine.

6. I THINK SOME OF THEM HAVE ... very few, but i think i have heard maybe
less than a handful speak out on the no raise issue but unless people are tuned in to c-span they won't hear any of them speak out against any of these issues, but they will hear plenty of propaganda by republican senators and the bought out bush media speak against the democrats.

3. Bunch of chicken[bleep]s
If I showed up to work only 97 times, I'd be out on my ass in a hurry.

7. Oh, well, obviously you didn't look at their schedule.
(I did, to see what the DeLay resignation could entail, does Congress meet often over the summer, etc.)

Two and three weeks at a time labelled with things like 'in-district work'. You see, 97 days in session doesn't account for all the schmoozing and fundraising they have to do in-district. Schmoozin' is hard work.

And need I add ... :sarcasm:
