Anti-tax crusader (Gorver Norquist) may have neglected to pay own taxes
http://www.rawstory.com/news/2006/Antitax_crusader_may_have_neglected_to_0420.html

Public records suggest that Grover Norquist, president of the conservative Americans for Tax Reform lobby group, has neglected to pay his Washington, DC property taxes for the first half of this fiscal year.

...

As of Apr. 18, Norquist's taxes on his $850,000 Washington townhouse had not been paid for the first half of the 2006 fiscal year. Norquist's taxes were due Mar. 31.

Norquist owes $3,822 to the Office of Tax and Revenue, a figure that includes a charge of $394.21 in penalties and interest for failing to pay on time. While no payment appears in D.C. public records at TaxpayerServiceCenter.com, it's possible that the anti-tax crusader's check simply hasn't been processed. Washington D.C. property tax payments can be reviewed here.

Norquist's 810 Constitution Avenue townhouse is assessed at $858,220. The District has proposed his property assessment rise to $1,009,740 for 2007.

2. Good for him!
Once we get people to stop funding this Beast (The Federal Government) we will knock down one of the pillars which allows the State to send people off to far away places to kill and be killed...

3. It is possible his mortgage company messed up.
I have had this happen to me. I pay the taxes to an escrow account and sometimes the mortgage company will fail to pay the tax bill to the county. As I recall, the time it happened was the first tax bill owed after a refinance. It is really no biggie and we probably should not pay it any attention when Norquist has so many huge faults we can pick on.
