IF?
FUCKING IF?

The entire system is based on price gouging and he and his friends and business partners enjoy huge profits from it.

5. IF we find the WTC was hit; if Ray Charles is blind; if birds fly. .. .
If ever there was no IF involved, it's in the case of the obscenely opportunistic, gluttonous for every higher profits oil industry as personified by the decades old Bush/Saudi Arabia/OPEC cartel.

9. Guess that pretty well sums up Bush stance on price gouging
Bush is acting more brain-dead with each passing day, I guess this is what he meant when he said it's "hard work" -- the shit hasn't even begun to hit the fan yet, and Cheney?!! - shit, he can just go back to sleep!

11. In the immortal words of Rufus T. Firefly
"I will not stand for anything that's crooked or unfair.
I'm strictly on the up-and-up, so everyone take care.
If any man's caught taking graft, AND I DON'T GET MY SHARE,
We stand him up against the wall, and
Pop! Goes the weasel!"

12. In a pathetic attempt to reverse their dismal poll numbers...
Congressional leaders yesterday planned to ask President Bush to order investigations into possible price gouging by oil companies as crude oil prices hit new highs on world markets and average gasoline prices in the nation's capital blew through the $3-a-gallon mark.

House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-Illinois) and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tennessee) are preparing to send a letter to the president Monday asking him to direct the Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department to investigate alleged price gouging and instruct the Environmental Protection Agency to issue waivers that might make it easier for oil refiners to produce adequate gasoline supplies, Hastert spokesman Ron Bonjean said.

16. O'Lielly's article really pegged this as a lie
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 02:50 PM by msgadget
He suggests the rhetoric between the US and Iran caused the futures market to beat up the price and the oil industry to subsequently base prices at the pump on those futures prices. I'll find and post the link...
