Minutemen: If Government Doesn’t Build Border Fence, We Will Do It
A few of these rabid rights have the ambition to collect funds to build a fence....jeese, why can't they collect funds that the use of which wouldn't involve "hate"....
Splat

While the ACLU are losing in their fight against the Minutemen, the latest news is sure to get them riled up.

If the government doesn’t build a security fence along the Mexico border, Minuteman Project border watch leader Chris Simcox says he and his supporters will.

Simcox, whose civilian watch group opposes illegal immigration, said Wednesday that he was sending an ultimatum to President Bush to deploy military reservists to the Arizona border by May 25 or his supporters would break ground on their building project.

“We’re going to show the federal government how easy it is to build these security fences, how inexpensively they can be built when built by private people and free enterprise,” Simcox said.

The Minuteman Project is taking donations.

One Minuteman spokesperson estimated the fence would cost $10 million to $12 million, to start. He said $10,000 in donations were pledged in one day.

“What are they going to do; send the National Guard down to stop us?” asked Chris Simcox, of the Minutemen. “I mean, they won’t send the National Guard down to protect the United States. I wonder if they’re able to force an American Tiananmen Square situation, where we have our officials coming down stopping American citizens from protecting their own property.”

5. He is the poster child for the Minute Men.
And for the closet bigots who are ever so eager to jump on the "But we have to save our country!!!1" bandwagon, we feature a Junior Member of Ann Coulter's League of True Patriots:

7. I agree with you, oscar111
I think we should build the fence. It's working south of San Diego and it would work elsewhere.

I want everybody to have a fair chance, but I'm for America first.

I just put my flame proof suit on, better reach for yours.

8. So as part of your duty for 'America First' you will no longer
set foot into a grocery store or chain hotel right?

They "steal" our jobs because the American businessman would rather pay them slave wages than someone like you who would DARE to demand a decent wage.

Problem isn't with the illegals it's with the American corporation and YOU the consumer who continues to feed it by consuming products which were created exclusively with the hands of "illegals"

13. One of them up here is trying to get an initiative on Nov. ballot...
in WA that will have voters decide if they want to deny social services to undocumented workers. I went to his blog site and left some choice words for him on there, but my puter was messed up the next day and it took us a week to straighten it out. I'll never enter a conservative webpage again.

Actually, his campaign is helping in an ass-backward way with our stumping to get the voters out this year. His measure is so cold-blooded and idiotic, I've talked with lots who are outraged over it and think he's a disgrace to our fine state.

20. Nice to see nature take its course up there. Here in east Texas, they
would kill forest to put up fences to keep "Bush country" safe from the mexican taliban.
Give `em hell Jake!

24. The minutemen up here get lost out in our "nature"...
A big smuggling ring was just busted that has been dealing in Pakistani and Indian people sneaking over from Canada and there's a Korean bunch that has been elusive for years...these mountains on our border make it easy for the smugglers, but those vigilantes have to be rescued out of the woods. There are trails thru that have been routes for B.C. Bud for decades, but only good bushwhackers can follow them.

I think our minutemen crowd up here could be referred to as "token vigilantes" since they usually hide when protesters show up and now they stick with the flat sections of the border, ha!

And of course, nobody pays attention to the millions of containers (some containing people) that come in on ships daily up here. Desert fences are so much more important to security, after all.

12. I assume they are going to build fences on private property...
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 01:01 AM by Jack_DeLeon
if so what is wrong with that?

I dont agree with thier politics, but it is none of my business if someone wants those people on thier private property or if they want to build a fence on thier private property.

Howeve the day some fucker tries to infringe upon my rights because I am Mexican-American, then there will be a fight.

Personally I dont give a fuck about what some uppity white minorities think.

15. That'd be my preference.
Build the fence around the minutemen's personal property....make it 40' high. Put electrified razor wire on top. That'd make them secure.

I really don't like the idea of building walls around America. We become the inmates when that happens.

16. Exactly...
isnt there some saying about walls that keep people out also keep you in.

Hell if people want to live in thier own personal prison and never leave more power too them, just means I wont have to deal with them in normal society.
