Is it gouging yet?
These are from gas stations around my house today. I know these are cheap by comparison to some east coasters. (Chevron is always the highest around here. They must be funneling a lot of money to the GOP.)

This is only the latest outrage, of course. There are so many. My question is, why aren't there people swinging from lamp posts by now?

3. Still More Expensive In Europe
But honestly, I wouldn't be bitching if my gas money were going to taxes that helped fund roads, public transportation and research into alternative fuels.

Instead, these prices are funding terrorists and greed. There is little (if any) benefit to society of these high gas prices.

4. On the bus home last night:
On the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, the first Shell station before the major hotels was selling regular for $3.189! An AM/PM (Arco) closer to where I live was $2.819. They're almost always the lowest.

6. Yeah, blame China like it happened overnight...What bullshit...
Edited on Sat Apr-22-06 11:06 AM by LaPera
The oil companies know very well what the world's oil supply that is needed right to the gallon, yet they purposely cut back on the oil flow...so they can raise prices, saying there's not enough gas, so prices go up whenever there's a shortage of anything...But they are the fucking ones allowing this shortage to occur, because it does increase profits, to record levels every quarter for these slimy fucks by simply controlling & keeping the flow at the bare minimum. And then the media spits out oil company's bullshit, China, low inventories, etc...

That is price gouging!!

7. Gouging? Lee Raymond got a 400 mill retirement
package PLUS two years home and personal security services (he wouldn't be able to afford that on his own) plus a guaranteed
one million dollar a year consulting deal. If that was me and a reporter asked me how in good conscience I
could accept that kind of money I'd say: "Hey, have you looked at gas prices lately? I drive a Hummer you know."
Gotta love our classless society.

11. At the Raymond home:....ring-ring....could you get the door please?
In 1385 in France, a bunch of peasants went to their lord's castle, took it over, killed the lord in front of his family, then butchered him. They cooked him and fed him to his family who they then also killed. That is class warfare.

14. Not surprizing...Part of Raymond's contract included security
at his home upon retirement.
$118,000 per day of work during his 13 years.

The age of the robber baron has been reborn by GWB. His legacy will be cultivation of a corporate friendly atmosphere in this country which will not be easily undone by the next couple administrations.

"Fat Bastard" Raymond will be the poster boy.

8. Paid $3.22 for regular yesterday (Central CA)
Filled up to the tune of $55

Fortunately, don't have to do a lot of driving around where I live. But, as prices keep rising, am going to get gas to top off during next week.

Looks like it's only going to get worse and will stay worse...IMO, I don't think any of us are going to see prices coming down for the next few months.
