General Barney Franks retired to Oklahoma...

And bought a farm not far from my uncle's place. True to tradition, General Franks invited the locals to a barbecue to introduce himself. Uncle Dan's impression of the General was positive.

Yesterday, I finally got XM radio, so I can listen to Air America for the first time in the year since I moved away from Austin. This morning, a repeat of Jerry Springer had a skit where Franks was getting all lathered over Rumsfeld's "smooth voice and muscular thighs".

In order to appreciate this, you'd have to know my Uncle Dan, but the image of Franks slobbering over Donald Rumsfeld in front of my ultra-straight uncle and a dozen other old Oklahoma farmers has me hysterical. I've been breaking into side-splitting bouts of uncontrollable laughter for hours.
