Who saw the Katrina kids song on Bill Maher last night?
Where is liveoak? I would do just about anything to have that song on video.

Here are the lyrics:

Your husband's a great big screw up
Now we live out of our car
Katrina killed my grandma
While he sat and played guitar
Our city's a disaster
It's nicer in Iraq

You must be smoking crack

15. There was a brouhaha of some sort. I missed it too. I saw the tribute
thread asking her to come back but I guess she is going to stay away. Our loss.

I ask because the part of that segment that was TRULY memorable was when Maher read the lyrics to the song the "Katrina Kids" were forced to sing at the Easter egg hunt, praising the administration--including (my jaw was hanging open) FEMA!

I didn't quite believe that was true, but Maher didn't say "just kidding" or anything like that (in fact, he said something like "Isn't that very "Kim Jong Il""), so I suspect it was for real, in which case--OMG, making those kids sell their souls for a few lousy Easter Eggs!?

The lyrics to the song they really did sing to Laura are on the same page as the video = right above the screen.
