Would 10 people or more want a DU politcal Photo group? say yes here

I would like to propose a DU Photo group where all the photos could be placed for easy access.


The Mission of DU Photo group is to have ready access available to extract pictures as we see appropriate for our use in threads and letters to aid in our activism.


Once we have 10 or more people lined up, I will petition Skinner to create the group. Thank you.

I have a few of those I have done, see my journel....

How would copyright issues be handled? Using a third party image hosting service takes the legal burden off of DU. How would you propose a method which protected DU from legal action?

Would all the pictures be public domain? If so, who would be in charge of vetting the material to ensure that it was?

How much space should be allocated in your opinion?

Who should be allowed to upload?

Should there be a limit on how much a particular person uploaded?

How long should an image remain? What mechanism would be used to remove the files when they have "expired"

I'm not trying to discourage you from your requqest- I think it's a great idea. But there are legal and resource issues that, if you address them in a clear mission statement, would make the idea much more attractive to Skinner, I'd imagine.
