Is bu$h Drunk, High, Whaaat???
Slurred speech, lots of pauses (way more than usual), he looks like he just got up, repeats & repeats, etc.
Something is up with him today, not a doubt in my mind. By the looks of things, I'm not the only one on DU who thinks so.

2. we saw him drinking when Hu was here
He had a wine glass in his hand with something in it, and his actions esp. when he grabbed
Hu's sleeve were not the actions of a sober man.

3. Maybe he's having a stroke...
They'd better rush him into a CAT scan stat!

I'm not really joking here. No offense meant to those who've suffered strokes. I once knew a guy who had a stroke at 18. No joke. It took him a few years to normalize after that.

Bush's apparent physical health doesn't make immune...and I, for one, don't want to see President Cheney OR President Hastert.

9. That thought occured to me as well...
But Cheney in the lead chair would be like putting a visibly rabid dog there. People would be lining up around the block to (allegorically) put a bullet in it.

7. Short answer . . .
Yes.

I've been saying all along that he's never been sober.

They clean him up and prep him for appearances, but I'm willing to bet he hasn't gone 24 hours without some sort of "medication" for his entire presidency.

13. Funny, there is no Freeper thread on this speech
Where are all the adoring brain dead bushbots. Did the thread get deleted because it was too embarrassing? Usually they never miss a chance to slobber over televised speeches.

14. I just saw a portion of a tape of * speaking today -
His speech was hesitant and he was breathing heavily. Was it that warm out west? Was he out of shape from the biker stunt? Is the stress of 33% getting to him?

16. Maybe he's off his meds...
He's been high for 6 years now...maybe they took him off the meds and he's back to drinking. He'd been unusually clear for a while. I guess it's about to all crash in on him, he's starting to realize it, and he's drinking to ease the pain?
