3. Wait. I read about the clip on the site and then I couldn't watch it.

Tell me first; does it have a happy ending?

6. I'll only say two things so I don't spoil it.
1). Trust me (I have a reputation to protect on DU)

2). Watch the clip.

Why do you think I put the "group hug" smiley at the bottom of the original post?

4. Did they ever have an update on this man?
I remember that someone promised to care for his dog until he got back on his feet. Anyone know if they were reunited?

16. my sister has a small dog that she is so attached to that she would
walk out of LA before giving him up, we have had him for 17 years (old dog! she is terrified that he is going to pass on soon) and he was her focus during some hard times when we had some really really bad things happen to us. I could just imagine the reaction of my sister. Im not kidding, she is over weight and has a bad band but she would walk a hundred miles before giving up her dog...

22. I couldn't do it either!
She'd never understand why I was leaving her. It would be the ultimate betrayal that would throw her into a state of confusion, terror and panic. I couldn't inflict that on her...her spirit is just too fragile. I'd stay to comfort and reassure her even if it meant we died together. That loyalty door swings both ways and that was the deal we made when she first arrived...I'd always be there for her!

It still crushes me to think of all those lovingly faithful dogs standing on their porches surrounded by water, patiently, loyally, anxiously waiting for their families who would never return. How lonely, desperate and heartbroken they must have been!

I want to believe that many of those dogs have gone on to find new families to love and be loved.

25. Wow! You are so right there! I would die with my fur babies. They love
unconditionally. I couldn't stand the thought of abandoning them. You are far more articulate than I, but you have expressed my thoughts so well. Yes those poor pets abandoned haunt me as well. They had not clue and were only waiting for their owners to return. So sad.

20. OK, I cried. If you are a dog lover, you should read "Marley and Me".
It has been #1 or close to it on the NYT best sellers list for a long time. They are going to make it into a movie.
