Bronson, Mich. -
According to Douglas Autotech of Bronson, all of the locked-out union employees have been fired.
A paid notice published in Wednesday’s Journal said Douglas Autotech “has terminated the strikers for their illegal acts and continues its operations with other members of the community manning its operations.”
The locked-out UAW Local 822 members so far have no comment about the notice, but are picketing as they have been since May 1, when a three-day strike began. After re-evaluating, members agreed to return to work unconditionally, but were not allowed to do so.
On Wednesday, many of the 140 locked-out employees lined the streets as the replacement workers left for lunch. Smaller numbers picketed around the clock as they have for months.
