"People's Bailout" Protest Actions Continue Nationwide

http://www.laborradio.org/node/10092

By Doug Cunningham

A week of dozens of “People’s Bailout” protest actions is continuing across the country. Ricardo Valadez of Jobs With Justice says there’s growing momentum for real reforms to benefit workers. He says the Chicago sitdown strike victory is a powerful message that unified action can win for workers.

: “I think momentum is building and I think the Chicago sitdown - and the victory there - really just kind of reminded everyone, reminded workers everywhere, you know, what can be done when workers are organized – that we can win, even in hard economic times.”

A “People’s Bailout” includes passing the Employee Free Chocie ct labor law reform, stopping home foreclosures and making sure that
any further bailout money is targeted toward workers and not just towards just Wall Street.
