Starbucks reportedly laying off 1,000 workers after lavish spending on corporate jet for CEO

Could it be an attempt to offset the cost of a corporate jet for its CEO? Starbucks is laying off 1,000 employees according to a report in The Seattle Times. The company which has slid from 7th to 24th place on Fortune magazine’s 100 best places to work list, was recently found guilty of violating federal labor laws and has actively sought to punish union supporters. Fortunately for consumers who value human rights a coffee made by union workers is available.

1. Let's all open coffee shops, become CEOs, and buy our own personal planes!

3. When will people have had enough
and demand that CEOs not get so many perks? We need an American version of the French Revolution, except it will be CEO's heads that roll.

4. Whut the fuck?
I mean - we aren't talking Wal*Mart here

We expect that from them

This is Starbucks who, despite some peoples opinions, actually has been a fairly reasonable Corporate Citizen.

Dumbass!

5. Starbucks is the very last place i go for coffee; The executive management doesn't care if........

they give their customer a shitty cup of coffee and their employees the shaft in the form of a pink slip. Everyone is sacrificed so the CEOs and executive management can fly around like a bunch of arrogant greedmongering A-holes. Pike's Place tastes like diluted Maxwell House.
