IWW War Trials in Chicago, 95 go to prison for up to 20 years - 1918

Bakery & Confectionery Workers International Union of America merges with Tobacco Workers International Union to become Bakery, Confectionery & Tobacco Workers - 1978

August 17, 1985 - In one of the pivotal struggles of the 1980s, United Food and Commercial Workers Local P-9 went on strike against the Hormel Co. in Austin, Minnesota. Though the strikers galvanized support from across the nation, divisions within the UFCW and the community ultimately led to defeat.
