1. NASA will invest in robotic missions

I had written to the President last year and urged him to end the Constellation program and shift the program to "deep space" probes. I think the federal government should spend billions of dollars building wind turbines, instead.

2. It would be helpful if some of that stimulus money could go to Brevard Co to do that.
As the Florida Today website says 23,000 jobs will be lost this year and next when the Shuttle is closed down. The Constellation Program was supposed to take over some of that lose and now with the privitization of the Space Program low earth orbit companies are moving out of Florida. It will be a huge impact to Florida. I have heard there is all ready a plan to tear down most of the launch pads there. We have a fantastic wealth of information and records there that we cannot get back and these will be sold or destroyed mostly for scrap prices. I truly hope Sen. Nelson steps in to save some of the records for not only historical background but knowledge that we might be able to use in other areas.

3. Kick for afternoon readers.....
:kick:

Surprising how there is little interest in this issue. This is going to impact the economy not only in Florida but around the country soon.

4. there will be a great exodus from the area around KSC if they don't manage this situation properly.
One things for sure, not a lot of those people are dems, at least that's my take on it, I could be wrong. That doesn't mean that they don't deserve to have the gov't salvage their situation so they, or if they have children, don't suffer. This could truly devastate the region between Daytona/Otown/Melbourne.

K&R!
