Labor joke for the week of August 6, 2007

The difference between a therapist and a union organizer

A therapist and a union organizer were walking along a path by the river. All of a sudden they heard a scream from someone being carried down the river, yelling for help. The therapist jumped in and saved the person from drowning.

As they walked further along, the therapist and organizer heard another person being carried down the river scream for help. Again, the therapist jumped in and saved someone.

All of a sudden the organizer took off running down the path.

“Where are you going? We need to save these people!” shouted the therapist.

Responded the organizer, “I’m going to find the bastard who’s throwing everyone into the river!”
