This Halloween, Workers Aren't Scared To Stand Up Against Wage Theft
Rally at the Hamilton Ave Animal Hospital
Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2:00pm
11808 Hamilton Ave (north of 275, just south of Kemper) 45231
Come join the Cincinnati Interfaith Workers Center and support workers
from the Hamilton Ave and Sycamore Animal Hospital demand their overtime.
Three Latino workers worked as cleaners for an animal hospital and often
worked upwards of 65 hours a week, and were paid accordingly. The problem
is then the owner would make the workers pay her back for the time and a
half difference. The workers would get paid $8/hr. and $12 for
their overtime, but they would have to pay back the $4 difference per hour
overtime- resulting in their boss allegedly taking $24,064 of wages these workers had earned.
The workers with CIWC contacted Owner Stephanie Cable and Dr.
Micheal Cable, who have refused to offer anything but threats and denials.
Workers have waited too long already for their pay, help us send the
message that we will not allow this injustice to stand in our communities!
Join us for this important demonstration and help put an end to Wage Theft.
Bring the kids in their costumes!
