By Doug Cunningham

The Institute for Women’s Policy Research Wednesday released new data showing that more than 44 million American workers – 42 percent of the private sector workforce – have no paid sick days. The National Partnership for Women and Families says this should be a compelling call to action for Congress to correct grossly inadequate workplace policies.

1. Most of the food industry workers get no paid sick leave and are lucky
if they can stay home when they are ill. Not to mention that most of them have no health care.

Just imagine the next time you go to a restaurant, the person handling your food could have just about any disease.

2. I don't get paid for sick days, either...
...however, missing one or two days' pay each year isn't going to break me. For that, I am eternally grateful to my UNION.

3. I'd wager 1/5th of them are in Texas.
texas is infamous for low wages and no benefits.
We are also a RED state.
When will people learn?
I do my best to spread the word.
