AnnouncementsFriends: Come support the Wobbly baristas as they continue their legal battle with the world's largest coffee chain. While Starbucks' red-baiting tactics thus far appear ineffective, they are indeed entertaining to watch.

Over the past three years, baristas at Starbucks have created an independent voice to ensure recognition for their hard work. To secure its 100% part-time employment scheme, Starbucks has responded with a massive union-busting effort.

Stand in solidarity with the workers as this union-busting operation is laid bare:

Court Dates- September 12th, 14th and 18-21st
Time: 9:30am-5:00pm
Location: 120 W. 45th St. 14th Floor

cingular may be union, but they are AT&T... and AT&T is one fucked up company.

Not only are they the ones gleefully wiretapping US citizens, they are the main force opposing net neutrality.

...just an fyi

I realize that's the case, and was just letting you know. :toast:

I've supported workers on a number of picketlines, yet now refuse to deal with their company because of its policies.

(Ralph's for example)

4. I have a few relatives that would be pissed...

If I switch because they still work there. My wife Marta was at a subsidiary (US West) for 18 years. My sister was there for 25 and retired.

5. here's a good one
my mammy-in-law, way back when, took a job with AT&T.
Her employer turned into Pacific Bell.
Then it changed to SBC.
Now it's AT&T again.

So now she gets to retire from the company she started with.
