A 2% @ 60 public employee retirement scenario
And many Non-Safety Public Workers are at this rate now that they have sacrificed this last round of negotiations.
And most with NO retirement medical insurance which puts retirement out of reach for most until 65.

You must be at least 60 years of age to get the benefit.
Roughly it is two times years of service.

So it would take 40 years of service at retirement to get the 80% retirement pay the President is talking about.

20 years = 40% of pay
30 years = 60% of pay

Your public infrastructure workers who keep water at the tap, the sewer mains clear, the storm drains from flooding, the streets paved, etc...DO NOT make a heck of a lot of money compared to what the public would pay for a private contractor.
.
This constant attack, and now by the President, is disheartening for sure.
