How is' Knotts Berry Farm' these days?
I haven't visited since about 1980. I know so much has changed. I'm going in a couple of months.
But from what a lot I can read online, many peeps are complaining the service went the way of the dodo
and its become a gang-infested dump.

1. i went there about 3-5 years ago
i went before when i was a kid but don't remember how it was then so can't really compare.

i would say compared to Disneyland which is around that area it might be better if you want more thrilling rides like roller coasters which disneyland doesn't really have.

2. It was sold in 1997 to Cedar Fair,
although Disney did make an offer to buy the park and convert it to "Disney's America" but the Knotts sold it to Cedar Fair instead. I have read comments online that the new owners have made changes and that Knott's has lost a lot of the charm it had in the old days. The new owners (who also operate Cedar Point in Ohio) have turned the park into more of a thrill ride park. So the quaint old Knott's is slowly disappearing. Remember the "Pan for gold" attraction?

I went shortly after I made this original post, and had a great time. Now this just happens.
Ironically, me and the gf were in line for the front seat of this coaster when they
suddenly closed it about five minutes until we were to board.
