Hawaii

I just wanted to thank everyone in the travel group for their advice about my trip to Hawaii. I had a great time.

We ended up staying in a quiet condo in Kapalua, which was perfect for my grandparents, who aren't used to traveling and might have gotten a bit tense in a hotel. We saw three whales the first morning from our living room! We did a lot of snorkeling (often with sea turtles), attempted to do some hiking (trails aren't very well marked on Maui, except in the national parks), biked down Haleakala, and drove to Hana. I took a surfing lesson and loved it. I also managed to drink a lot of pina coladas, eat at some wonderful restaurants, and get a nice tan. ;)

I know that it's hard to take a BAD picture of Hawaii, but you've got some real winners. The underwater pics are superb, esp the turtle.

Those are terrific. And congratulations to your grandparents. That's so sweet. Where are they from that they never visited the ocean?
