Hubby and I are going to Malta in mid-October
We finally made a dang decision. Since we live in Europe, it will be an easy 2.5 hr. flight. Staying at the Kempinski on Gozo. Very excited, I am an architectural historian and I studied Malta, they have been influenced by a gazillion different cultures over their 7000 yr. history. He'll be diving, I'll be snorkeling and taking tons of photos.

1. Very cool.
I went to school with some Maltese kids. I have always thought it would be a great place to visit.

4. Now I need to go look up Malta. You can swim there
in October? Our 25th anniversary is next year and hubby told me to pick a place to go to. Sadly, every time I mention somewhere he nixes it for one sorry reason or another. But wherever it is, it has to be warm and not in Europe. Kind of cuts down on my options...

5. Yes, it's closest to Tunisia
Here's a good site that has all kinds of travel info on Malta: http://www.visitmalta.com/

The weather has been kind of iffy this week, hope it improves before we get there or I will be sorry that we didn't go to our perennial hangout: Turks & Caicos, in the Caribbean.

7. I've always been fascinated by the fact that
the Maltese language is a dialect of Arabic written in Roman letters.
