Travelling to Mexico for two weeks. Do I need anything other than
a passport? I'm thinking mainly of shots.

1. No
Just your passport. Drink bottled water and avoid ice outside big hotels. Have fun!

3. Speaking of water...

If you are in a major town in an upscale or major restaurant, you do not have to worry.

If you go into some of the smaller towns, and eat some super fine drum cooked food, te rule of thumb is..if you have to peel it, it is OK to eat. If it is something like slaw salad, avoid it because it has not been cooked and you cannot be sure what water it was washed with.

Example....guy cooking on a half drum, fish or chicken is your choice...the hot food is OK, the tortillas are OK, the pico de gallo is OK, but the slaw salad is a no go...no matter how good it looks. Ice cubes should be questioned.

If you do get sick for any reason from water, just hike to the local pharmacia...they will get you the right meds and for cheap.

Otherwise, enjoy! What part are you going to?

6. Cuernavaca.

I enjoyed it and I didn't get sick.

"avoid it because it has not been cooked and you cannot be sure what water it was washed with."

That's probably why I was told to avoid the street food vendors. I went to them but the food I ate was cooked.

Sorry this is late but better late than never.

Sounds like you've done some travelling in Mexico, right?

5. Be careful with the fresh fruit
Any fresh produce made me quite ill both times I went, and I stayed at some nice hotels. If you can get some, I'd bring some Cipro to, just in case.
