2. because she's parsing a lie?
pretty much. She starts off with a non-denial denial, and then abruptly ends it with a lie.

3. "In it to win it"...never did like that slogan
...furthermore, of course she believes she can win. That's why they all run for pres. The fact is that she won't win unless she plays very dirty

5. She should have said either "no"
or, if she sees what she had as a "private" conversation, "no comment."

Now the Hillary camp suggesting that it was Richardson who originally said that Obama couldn't win. He said she said...and with no proof, they know they can get away with it.

6. Agreed. The right and best answer is always pretty straightforward.
She didn't want to get caught lying, so she waffled and weaved. It's obvious to me from this that she DID say that to Richardson.

7. It's a good thing she added "that's a 'no'" at the end
Almost as an afterthought, she finally got around to answering the quention after serving up red herring for a the 50 seconds of a 52 second spot.

8. But what did she say "NO" to? Check out the latest from the ClintonInc bozo parade...
BURBANK, CALIF. - In an exchange with reporters at a press conference earlier today, Hillary Clinton was asked about reports that while, she was seeking his endorsement, she told Gov. Bill Richardson, D-N.M., that Barack Obama could not win the general election if he were the nominee. Clinton responded, “You know we have been going back and forth in this campaign about who said what to whom and let me say this about that. I don’t talk about private conversations. But I have consistently made the case that I can win because I believe I can win. You know, sometimes people draw the conclusions that I’m saying somebody else can’t win. I can win, I know I can win. That’s why I do this everyday. I’m in it to win it.”

The reporter pressed Clinton saying, “Is that a no?” To which Clinton responded, “That’s a no.”

But later, a senior Clinton spokesman told reporters that Clinton did not mean to imply that she was not referring to what she allegedly said to Richardson about Obama. Instead, the campaign explains that Clinton took the follow up question to mean that she “does not talk about private conversations."

Reporters pressed the aide about Clinton’s answer to which the aide maintained that Clinton’s “that’s a no” answer was aimed at the fact that Clinton does not discuss private conversations.

The campaign’s move leaves open the possibility that Clinton may have been worried that Richardson, who eventually endorsed Obama, would have come out and challenged Clinton’s denial.

9. Thank you

(A) senior Clinton spokesman told reporters that Clinton did not mean to imply that she was not referring to what she allegedly said to Richardson about Obama. Instead, the campaign explains that Clinton took the follow up question to mean that she “does not talk about private conversations."

Somebody tell CBS news that their writers are starting to sound like politicians. That sentence makes me dizzy.

You know, she might have said that to Governor Richardson, and I hope she really believes it to keep saying it as often as she has been reported to have said it. However, it appears that Governor Richardson doesn't believe it and more importantly to me, neither do I.

Mrs. Clinton entered the presidential race with the highest negatives of all candidates. Having one's electability questioned by her is a little like being called as asshole by Doug Feith.

10. She reminds me of Shelly Martel
A Canadian politician who lied, then lied about having lied, then came clean, then took a lie-detector test to prove that she was not lying about having lied or lying about having lied about lying.

"I can win. I know I can win. That's why I do this every day, and that's what my campaign is about. I'm in it to win it . . .." That's what her campaign is about? That's what motivates her? Winning??! Come on! :(

12. I.Can.Win. I.Know.I.Can.Win
She is always coming up with some catchy phrase that is trying to be like Obama.

Give it up Hillary, just be yourself and relax and you will show us the other side of your personality.

Well, on second thought, since I'm for Obama, let's just tell her how creative and original her ideas are ~let's tell her her script writer is so into the 21st Century.

This lady has some serious problems.

Is there a psychiatrist is the house.?

14. This is the same smear job the Republicans did to Gore in 2000
Edited on Thu Apr-03-08 11:11 PM by niceypoo
Everything he said they claimed it was a lie.

Rove 2000 = Obama supporters 2008

It is what you do when you cannot tout your candidate on the efficacy of his political positions, you smear
