4. How do you know that music and art hasn't been cut out of their schools?
Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 04:33 PM by polichick
That's a sad situation throughout this country.

12. You should be a Clintonite - you're as nasty as that campaign...
Edited on Sun Apr-06-08 05:07 PM by polichick
The answer is you DON'T know that art and music in the schools isn't a concern for this audience.

13. My point is very simple, war and the economy are the two most important issues even if an audience
wants to hear about the arts.

That is the job of a president, to tell people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.

By the way, music is a subset of art.

8. Obama constantly speaks about the war and economy
anyone listens to his speeches would know that.

you are obviously quite clueless.

9. BO has yet to make a substantive statement re solving our economy's problems. Read them again,
I have, and his advisers have yet to lay out a path for economic recovery.

The sad thing is HC and McCain are equally clueless.

At least Dubya was consistent "cut taxes, start a war, and remove laws so corporations can rape and pillage our nation" -- consistent and wrong with every one of his stupid policies.

If sermons and speeches solved problems, we wouldn't have any problems.

The sad thing is someone must take the lead like Bill Clinton did.

I don't see any promise that either BO or HC or McCain have the right stuff to solve both our economic and war problems

11. Vote, I've voted for every Dem candidate since Adlai Stevenson and I'm not going to change now.
Sen. JFK gave the commencement address when I graduated from college.

14. Obama is a much stronger candidate

than Hillary and McLame, on every issue. not without his flaws, not perfect (who is) but still far superior than either of them. but if you're still looking for that proverbial 'flawless' candidate, than I suggest you try looking in Never Never Land because you're not going to find him or her here on planet earth.

16. What's your problem, have you been drinking BO's kool-aid? We are now at the opinion stage,
your opinions vs. my opinions.

I've very familiar with the substantive positions of BO, HC, and McCain and I'll assume you are also.

I've enjoyed the exchange.

Have a wonderful day. :hi:
