1. Oh for crying outloud,
Clinton's gender has NOTHING to do with the myriad of reasons why I can't stand her.

3. They know that very well.
It's just funny that they refuse to hone up to it.

7. Indeed he does.
And the fact that so many on this list can't even see it... only shows how brainwashed we, as a culture, are.

It takes an outsider looking in to get down to the truth.

5. Jesus pissin' Christ. listen you limey jackass we are not voting for her because of her sex
There's a whole legion of reasons why I'm not voting for her, the fact that she doesn't have a "Y" isn't one of them.

8. It's obviously misogyny
Edited on Fri Apr-11-08 01:20 PM by Jack Rabbit
It's obviously misogyny to hold a woman who wants to be president responsible for two utterly wrong votes, on the IWR in 2002 and the Kyl-Lieberman resolution late last year, both of which are necessarily premised on trusting Bush to do the right thing and only going to war if all else fails.

Those votes were cast in a spirit of political opportunism (I mustn't look weak on defense) or poor character judgment (I trust Bush and his den of liars and thieves). The first excuse doesn't reflect leadership, it reflects posturing. The second is just plain dumb, dumb enough the first time and inexcusably dumb the second. The same can be said for every member of congress, regardless of gender, who voted aye on those resolutions.

Although there are no doubt misogynists who oppose Mrs. Clinton for no other reason than she is a woman, to excuse her Bush-enabling votes because she is a woman seeking the presidency is what speaks to an unfair bias. To hold her responsible for those votes is not misogyny.

I would think more highly of Mrs. Clinton if she would at least admit that she was wrong, not once but twice. If I wanted a president who can't recognize mistakes made or admit that mistakes were made, I'd be happy with the bozo we've got now.

Until she can at least tell us she recognizes that those votes were wrong, then the consequences to which I personally will hold her for her egregious errors is to seek to deny her the Democratic Party's nomination for president.

9. Oh please...
Edited on Fri Apr-11-08 09:10 PM by cui bono
Clinton is setting women back a decade with her playing victim every time she gets caught lying and the media actually reports it.

She's becoming a disgrace as a woman where I once thought she was a strong woman. Anyone who cries victim at every opportunity, even when it is not warranted in the least, is not a strong person, be they man or woman. Calling someone on that behavior is not misogyny, it's truth.

11. Hmm.No
Elton John music is good and all but he's wrong here.

Was Hillary Clinton at this event? Interesting that the statements by Elton John wasn't a comedy bit.

12. Your case is a bit weak
Please point to one misogynist remark on this thread. I see a remark directed at Mr. John that is Anglophobic, but none that are misogynist.
