Why is drinking someone under the table considered a good thing?

They're just too chummy for my tastes.

They had a drinking contest where she took a shot every time she used a right wing talking point and he took a shot every time he flip flopped on an issue. They were both blind drunk by the time they finished.

Wonder if she be starring in the next Larry the Cable guy flick.

I doubt very seriously if Hillary drinks heavily (altho she prolly would have reason to). If she beat McCain at a drinking duel, it prolly wouldn't be much getting "downed" and remember, McCain is an old guy. I'll bet that on lots of meds that alcohol would interact with in a bad way.

Leave it to McAuliffe to think he can solve any candidate's problems with an image makeover.

Now that would be amusing.

"Downing a few" and beating McCain at a shot contest (maybe it was Mogen David) are not postitive attributes. But then, I thought the "shots in PA" video was ridiculous too. Honestly, it just reminded me of high school peer pressure, trying to fit in.

During the Bush years, we've heard ad nauseum from the media gerbils how Americans surveyed said they were more comfortable having a beer with Bush than with Kerry.

Now, McAuliffe shoots his mouth off on how Hillary can pound them with the best, based on personal and anecdotal information.

Never mind the war. Never mind the economy. Never mind. We need a president that can drink with the guys!!

Is it any wonder that TV "news" has seen a decline in viewership?
