were alive today there's no doubt in my mind he'd be leading the despicable republican charge with smears, lies, distortions and manipulations on anyone trying to speak of truth & honor to America and it's workers, it's poor & it's outcast...A very greedy egotistical, elitist was Atwater.

Hopefully, Atwater found some real truth before he died from his unfortunate disease, however, he was a deeply sick and ugly man before that fatal disease...The same sort of ugliness that spawned Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly and the rest of these sick, no heart bastard's, without the soul of caring for others less fortunate, just pure wicked neocon evil, all for their racist imperialism. as was Atwater's goal as well.

Rove is just as bad only he uses the ballot box to do his evil ways. I was so happy he miscalculated this last election. I hope he dies as bad a death as did atwater. I think little george is g.h.w. bush's brain tumor. He got what he deserved pushing that punk on us.

not even the political part-the damage to 'capacity to see/appreciate truth' was what the repubs were devoted to ...there are alot of people think armstrong acted the lunar landing on a sound stage, or that both al gore and john kerry, were draftdodgers etc, unlike top guns bush and gannon/guckert! Now less apocalytic minded rightists are suddenly seeing the down side of the flat earth society mentality ruling the roost. Satan thanks lee atwater, im sure...

of course, the vast majority of actual christians are good people, or at least are trying to be good.

but there's a portion of self-proclaimed christians who seek to exploit the notion of forgiveness in christianity, to the point where they PLAN on being evil during most of their lifetime, and then, on their deathbed, taking jesus into their heart, confessing their sins, and seeking forgiveness; thereby guaranteeing entry into heaven.


lee atwater always struck me as one of those. i doubt his conversion at the end was anything more than a selfish, desperate plea to avoid eternity in hell.

America is still paying for the damage he caused here.
