1. Billo doesn't get the sarcasm. He thinks it's a serious interview.

15. Actually, I think Bill was obviously playing around, too.
This piece makes me think that Bill is often scamming for the bucks more than anything, and that in teh process, he works himself into a frenzy so that he ends up ebleiving his own BS half the time. But he is playing a role for the money, not caring at all that it does serius damage to the country, the world, and specific individual.s.

3. Shill is such an ass...

All he could come up with was the 'Colberrrr' vs 'ColberT' stuff??? Duhhhh... It was like watching Ali dance around some leaden punch-drunk opponent. OUT-SMARTED, OUT-CLASSED, OUT-TALENTED ... and OUT-TO-LUNCH!!

OMG ... can't wait to see what Stephen has up his sleeve for HIS show tonight.

5. Sheesh Colbert didn't even have to TRY
That was just way too easy for him - I honestly thought BillO might get it a LITTLE but either he's acting REAL stupid or he is real stupid, and I think it's the latter.

8. Is there a transcript?
I know it's a pale, flat, 2-D excuse...but it's better than nothing.
I'd really LOVE to see O'Lielly get sliced up with fine razor wit*...

*Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (by the late  great Douglas Adams), he was describing one of the characters...something like "...you could call her a battleaxe, but one that was fine-tuned like a Swiss watch. You'd never even notice you'd been hit until you turned around and saw that your arm wasn't on."
:wow:

19. at least the audience has seen some satire now. Colbert might steal some audience share.
I hope they just move over to Colbert because it's far more informative, accurate and entertaining.

That would be an irony indeed, maybe some of them are so dumb they might think it's the real deal.

I would have settled for seeing this first thing in the morning--watching it before tonight's Colbert Report was just too much to hope for. I have nothing against Robin Wrignt Penn, but I'm so happy that I got to watch this before the (11:30PM EST Colbert Report) came on!

16. Billo either did a solid job of acting clueless
or he is dumber than I thought was humanly possible. I think he was kind of playing along, but sometimes he tries to get serious and it's like Colbert is saying hilarious stuff and it just is whipping right over Billo's head. And that is one large effing head too. :)

23. DING DING DING! Wetzelbill, you're our grand prize winner!
Billo either did a solid job of acting clueless, or he is dumber than I thought was humanly possible.

When Loofahlafel's ratings slip or he has a book to peddle, he's always disguised himself as a charming, disarming moderate and ventured into the broadcast televison world. This quasi-culutral exchange program was just a variation on that theme, and I'd bet my first-born male child that it was Fox's idea.

I was going to watch both shows online today because I didn't want to boost O'Reilly's ratings by watching his show, but I did want to see it before I watched O'Reilly on Colbert's show. Thanks to some fast-moving You-Tubers, I was able to watch O'Reilly online before seeing Colbert live, and I say that it's not "humanly possible" to fake being clueless so well! His main problem seems to be that Steve is profitng by making fun of him--shouldn't it be that Steve DOES make fun of him?

20. O'Reilly struck out - nada
He gets Colbert on and his best shot is "you changed the way you pronounce your last name"!? O'Reilly who wanted to beat up the 911 orphan, who said the recent kidnap victim "liked it" -- he finally gets someone across the table who can take his crap and he doesn't bring it.* He was like an impotent deer in the headlights (of justice).

* classic bully behavior

he is so impaired, he ate the whole thing. could not figure out if it is irony or not. colbert should run a little :sarcasm: tag in a crawl. help those poor brainless thugs to figure it out.

28. Bill met his match with Colbert
Colbert is NOT afraid of him and Oriley actually was perplexed at how to handle Colbert

I loved the age factor Colbert brought up that oriley had the older audience and Colbert had the younger

He's so very wrong
