Hillary Campaign spokesman, Harold Ickes, denounced the DNC compromise decision claiming they "hijacked four delegates from Hillary," calling it "outrageous" and "egregious."

Ickes reiderated the threat to take the fight to the convention.

1. It was also a fucking GIFT from the Obama team
Please, get the DLC jerks out of the party power structure as fast as possible!

Fools like Ickes demonstrate why they are the problem and never the solution.

2. Agree
The Obama camp was very generous with the compromise.

Let's hope this is the last of the Hillary camp's disunity.

3. If he had an ounce of decency, he would have disqualified himself
from yesterday's meeting for conflict of interest. What a weasely little shit he is.

4. I have no respect for the likes of him or anyone who takes "advice" from him.
What a despicable character. Obama has been nothing but a gentleman to Clinton even though she sure doesn't deserve it.

5. Give them the 4 delegates --
Obama will get more than what he needs.

Compromise apparently won't work -- just give her what she wants, and go on to win it regardless.

Thanks for the laugh Ickes! Now get off the stage Jester and let Obama take center. And I though Rush had the corner on the great ironies of life!

12. Hillary and her folks are nothing but cheaters and liars
If she would have won the presidency, she would've been like Bush just a little more competent, maybe.

13. You Can't Hijack
What you don't have! At the time when the Michigan motion was presented NO ONE had any damned delegates to be hijacked.

14. How is this persuasive
Are superdelegates actually going to be influenced by this? I'm not attacking Hillary's supporters or anything, I just don't get the logic of her campaign. They are worse fund raisers, more polarizing, have worse grassroots efforts, had a poorly run campaign and even though she started with tons and tons of advantages made so many mistakes that she ended up losing. Using twisted math to claim you won the popular vote by 1% isn't persuasive to me.

Why didn't the democrats fight this hard when 50,000 blacks were kicked off the rolls in Florida? Or Ohio was stolen in 2004? Or various vote fraud techniques are used to steal 3% of the vote? We need more democrats like Wexler and Kucinich. Not these power hungry, amoral DLC types.

18. My take on Ickes

He has the same twisted logic as Alberto Gonzales and Dubya. Incredible sleazebag this Harold Ickes. Another creepy Hillary Lawyer buddy.

Looking at his background on the web, it looks like he is nothing more than an opportunist, happy to milk big money out of the Clinonites.

Furthermore, his involvement with Catalist would explain his motives. It is a profit based data warehousing service. In my experience, databases reveal very sanitized views of data/information, and depending on how you query the database, you can get some pretty wild results. Only when you clean up the data, which is time consuming, difficult work that takes domain experts to do properly, do you find the flaws. It is clear to me that Ickes and his database are several times removed from the boots on the ground force that Obama uses. On one side, Obama's campaign relays what they physically see on the ground as they campaign trhough America, while the Clinton campaign uses the database to give it an outdated, unrelated datapoint view of America.

I would almost say "Poor Hillary", but I actually need to say, "Poor Hillary Donors", since all their money is blown on these Enron-esque like data dealers.

At this point, the Clinton Campaign is broke, and can't even vet the data they received from Catalist and Ickes. They are committed and chained at the hip.

These DLC idiots and their Corporatist approach to Politics makes me sick. They are so far removed from real life that they are living in their own reality.

19. I'm not very familiar with...
Harold Ickes. He seems to be the type of individual who is used to getting his way. I was watching him at the RBC meeting yesterday and his behavior was like, "I control this shit!". Walking around in the middle of the meeting, disrespecting the chairlady by talking when the time was up, and using subtle intimidation tactics to make the committee to go his way. He really pissed me off.

When a person have been in politics so long that they think that the rules no longer apply to them, it time to retire.

22. Mr. Ickes needs his facts corrected
It is true that in 1972, a Democratic candidate running in the primaries received more popular votes that Senator McGovern.

However, it was not Senator Humbert Humphrey. It was George Wallace.

If anything, Wallace would have been shalacked harder in the general election by Nixon than was McGovern.
