... pause the video exactly 15 seconds in and you will laugh. Man o man. If we cannot defeat this guy in November, something is seriously out of kilter.

15. The guy looks like a ghost
They are really powdering up that corpse to make a nice presentation.

What the hell could the Republicans be thinking? Is the really the best they got?

I'll admit he beats Ghouliani, Huckabee, and Romney by a mile, but seriously, is this all they got?

Hopefully, toadies like Brian Williams can mitigate the damage....otherwise, he's screwed.

god, I can't handle another politician that I can't stomach in my tv for the next 4 years
GOBAMA!!!
he's real and I can relate to his voice in my living room ...easily

I am SO looking forward to the generational shift that CNN has been talking about tonight. I am so over the doddering old fools trying to run us into the ground, pretending that business as usual is going to work in the world as it is NOW.

8. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!
Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah......Blah,Blah,Blah,Blah! Man he can put ya to sleep in minutes....even the audience looks glassy eyed. It is like trying to amuse yourself by watching paint dry. The monotone, the pathetic occasional look up and inanely smile. Watching and listening to Obama tonight and the enthusiasm he can call up from anyone who listens to him..the massive crowds....and then watching this dude (what did he have there? maybe 70 bored people)!! No contest here!

11. What Scares Me More
Isn't McCain winning. I worry we see a predicted landslide for Obama a few weeks before the November election day. Then CIA/Blackwater/whoever sets off a bomb in some mall wearing 'Muslim' outfits and hangs around long enough to be caught on film, blamed on Iran, who we proceed to bomb. Big protest at home, big enough for the spooks in the Whitehouse to call out the guard they seized control of from the states long ago, and declare martial law because it's an 'emergeny' in their opinion that allows them at their discretion to overrule any protest from Congress or the Senate. The only sadly fitting irony is all the 'protect our guns' right wing folks will be the ones who get them seized in the clampdown due to orders from the people THEY VOTED FOR. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully supportive of gun owner's rights.

But despite that long story, it boils down to the fact that we may not have an election for Obama to win, and you might just be in the cell next to him if you protest that also. Why? It ain't supposed to be. Bilderberg elite have yet to endorse him, he's not been to Bilderberg yet. He's not in the pocekt of Rockafeller / Morgan / Rothschild / Murdoch / Monsanto /Haliburton (ie. those who profit most from the neo-cons holding onto power, as McCain would guarantee). So if McCain can't win, they may do something dirty. That's what I worry most about. After that, I worry about the stealing of elections and the fact that 4 or 8 years after we should have 'learned our lesson' we have more electronic voting going on than ever before and still have an electoral college. Keep your eyes open. Don't let that happen.

26. Can't happen...
... even if the unthinkable happened and there was no election on Nov 4 (for ANY reason... say, a huge earthquake)... Bush and Cheney are still out no matter what happenes in January 09. There is an automatic line of succession. Pelosi would become president constitutionally. Even if there was martial law, it still wouldn't change Bush's term limit and the order of succession. The only way Bush couild hang onto power would be literally by a coup d'etat.

14. Canned
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 11:19 PM by Mark D.
Every smile is canned and forced. He's not comfortable there as he's not being hontest. He can't cuss and just negatively goad over stuff endleslly. The 'real' John McCain was the one we saw go after Mitt Romney (I'm not standing up for Mitt, just making a point) over and over in an almost sick way, with a half smile that's borderline psycho. Anyone see that last GOP debate? I was rooting for Mitt and McCain lost that debate by all measures. He came off as semi-senile man ranting about something nobody cared about, except him. Mitt would have been harder to debate than McCain. Gulianni even tougher. Obama will beat McCain in a debate easily.

Which is good, as he's yet to debate as well as he gives a speech. He's getting better, and will no doubt be better than McCain by the time they do debate. If he has Jim Webb as VP, he'll really have a stronger base and a blue dog appeal and Webb would hand Liarman (McCain's likely VP) his ass in a debate. McCain will show his phony smile again and again. He's not a happy man, it looks like an SNL parody whenever he smiles. Americans hopefully can see through that. But again, it may not matter if Rove/Cheney and their spokesmonkey George pull the plug on the elections. I'd like to think that won't happen, but were 9 steps on the 10 to facism.

I almost wanted to start laughing at times, the guy is so incredibly fake and transparent that I actually hope that a lot of Americans saw this speech as I don't know how anyone would want to vote for him after watching that.

There is more than a passing familiarity there. You know, I do not like to criticize people for something appearance-related over which they have little or no control. But John McCain is putting himself out there, as the contender for the presidency, for heaven's sake. He is just far too shopworn to be running for that demanding a position.

We've all seen before and after photos of those who've been in that office. And I think your Phantom photo is a pretty good guess at what McCain would look like in 2012 if he were elected. bleah!
