VoteVotes.Org, Brandon Friedman, states that "McCain should know better" in response to McCain's remark that it's "not too important" when the troops home come.

Friedman says "McCain does not get a free pass" simply because he's a vet.

"We respect his service and all we ask is that he respects our's," Friedman said.

John McCain recently confused the number of number of troops currently in Iraq and stated that we can't leave because the violence is up, right before he stated we can't leave because the violence is down.

McCain opposed the the G.I. Bill which will increase benefits for veterans.

1. Not too important when our troops come home, Not too important to take care of them when they come

home. But keeping tax breaks for the rich and keeping the lobbyist happy are important.

Just what I like from a presidential candidate - PRIORITIES.

2. Gotta protect the bottom line of big corps!

At any cost, even if it means cutting vet benefits and having 47 million Americans go without healthcare coverage.

3. McCain's status as a veteran doesn't give him a free pass

to say such inane things. In fact, he should be held to a higher standard since he served and should know better.
