Hope everyone likes it. The issue is so incredibly important...

There are some problems that are so big that only the government can address them and this is one of them.

Why do we need to build an aircraft carrier or the latest and greatest fighter jet? For every dollar spent on useless defense spending is a dollar not spent on affordable housing, health care or education. If we invested in solving poverty we would expand our job base by all of the new housing and schools that would be constructed and all of the professionals and non-professionals that would be brought to work on the problem.

If GW could spend 3 trillion dollars that he didn't have on a war that didn't need to be fought why can't Obama spend at least 1 trillion on addressing poverty in our country and another trillion on reconstructing our infrastructure and another for building alternative energy and mass transit solutions?

and the people of America deserve answers to them.
