2. Some people have too much money.
I can see very little value in that, and tons of mechanical headaches. Of course there is an sci-fi cool factor for about 30 seconds.

3. Incredible building!
My nephew lives in Dubai with his.. .. well, I guess she's his wife.. Or last I heard anyway they were getting hitched.

He met his GF on the internet after they had been corresponding for a few years while playing some sort of game.. (I have no clue what game they were involved in, but it's evidently popular)

He's 20 and was in his first year of college (Gainesville, FL) and she's 19 and was communicating with him from Dubai. (Her dad sent him the $$ and the ticket) and off he went.

He doesn't email all that often, but when he does, he always sends incredible photos! His wife was born in Saudi Arabia, but was evidently raised in Dubai.

He sent me pictures of them skiing in some indoor ski area in one of the malls there!

That building is incredible babylonsis!

8. They are attached to the non-rotating core via connections
that are similar to those of in-air refueling connections. Presumably they rotate around the central core.

Sounds like a nightmare to me, but they expect to be able to make it work, it seems.

10. The Uber-Rich are Living in Science Fiction!
We're increasingly living in Dickens!

Come to think of it, science fiction has been here before. It's called cyber-punk. Reality is looking more and more like something out of William Gibson.
