9. Not a favorite of mine, I have to say.

John McCain's age has nothing to do with his ignorance in dealing with technology. It speaks more to his lack of interest of both technology in general, as well as interacting with the social groups the are unheralded since the dawn of the internet.

Funny thing is I have a feeling most of the people giggling weren't BORN when people like my father were working with the W3C(World Wide Web Constortium), drafting legislation, and working to make sure that technology is available to people with disablities. I worked in the same field and I can tell you there are plenty of people in their 70's that have forgoten more operating systems than the average thirty year old knows existed.

We better be careful with this one. It seems extremely age-biased, and could come back at us as such. I would love for this lady and my father to spend some time together. Guys like my old man not only 'get it', they freaking built it.

12. Sorry, but McSame didn't know any OSs way back when.
For all he knew that meant an oral secretary.

13. Guys like your father would be a minority though.
I'd love to see some statistics based on age as to the prevalence of computer usage. Something tells me they would be much, much lower in McCain's age group.

10. Here's a guy puts McCain to shame.
A gentleman who is 94+ years old and has been blogging for almost five years now:

_America's Oldest Blogger_

McCain's age really has nothing to do with his Bush-like intellectual laziness.

11. I don't think this is a slam on all old people
There are 40 year olds who are just as clueless as McCain about the internet, computers, sending email. It's embarrassing -- where have they been?

The point is - it's not enough to just be "aware that it exists" Is this the person we want as leader of our country? I think 8 years of a bumbling fool in the white house is enough. Let's choose someone who is intelligent, thoughtful, caring, and has actual leadership qualities.

14. What an idea!
I think I want a total idiot again! It's been so interesting, and so good for the country (or at least a few of my dummy neighbors think so).

HeeHee.
