Poe's Law:
“ Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is impossible to create a parody of Fundamentalism that SOMEONE won't mistake for the real thing.<1> ”
Poe's Law relates to fundamentalism, and the difficulty of identifying actual parodies of it. Generally, it suggests that it's hard to tell fake fundamentalism from the real thing, since they both sound equally ridiculous.
It was originally created by Christianforums.com user Nathan Poe.
http://rationalwiki.com/wiki/Poe%27s_LawI would've first thought it was a parody (though it would be strange to see environmentalists actually running a Hummer, even as parody) until they showed Goode was actually there. I can't wait till my district finally kicks that idiot out. Being a Republican is bad enough, but the guy and his supporters are just so fucking
stupid.
