New MoveOn Ad: Americans And Iraqis Want War To End
By Greg Sargent - July 16, 2008, 10:17AM

MoveOn goes up with a new ad attacking John McCain for opposing a timetable for withdrawal from Iraq:

The spot says that Americans and Iraqis want this thing to end, while McCain would continue to spend "hundreds of billions" to keep our troops in Iraq for "years and years."

MoveOn will spend $100,000 to run the air on national cable, suggesting that the target audience is largely an insider one.

1. Does MoveOn have a voice anymore?
While I agree with everything they have put out including General BetrayUs, the MSM with FAUX leading the way, has boxed them into the 'whacky far left' slot. And now everything they put out will be viewed through opposite-glasses by a lot of folks in the general public.

This is the way they do it, marginalize and make fun of any real truth teller organization, because they know that they could never compete if they were to actually treat them fairly. The same goes for DU and other 'left wing blogs' Sad but true. They have a giant machine that the general public has grown up to trust as the primary sorter of who is legit and who isn't, and they have all decreed MoveOn.org as waaaaaaaaaaaaaay out there.

3. MoveOn remains our voice for freedom of speech. They have always been on
the left and the repugs will always try to paint any left group(especially one as powerful and effective as MoveOn) as far left and radical. They still remain a voice for what many of us are feeling and thinking. Their hearts and souls are into passing on the message and ultimately action for change. Sometimes they take risks (like backing Obama) and lose some members but sometimes you can't get anywhere in life without taking risks. I'm am proud to be a member!

also claim Obama is the "most liberal" senator. They are completely clueless and America is finally waking up to their idiocy.

4. Who else is making commercials like this?
I will support any group willing to spend money to bring our troops home. I have had issues with moveon but I applaud them for this ad and the Alex one too.

6. Do Dem's have a voice
that is the question..those republicans are ingenious they have cornered the market on demonizing anything liberal...ie...he is the most liberal person in the senate(Obama) but do you notice how McCain has to beef up his conservative cred...its amazing, the individuals who have taken the country to hell in a hand basket are viewed as more credible...who are there PR people..

7. This looks like a 5th grader put this together ... It's got to
be more hard-hitting, with photos of coffins and weeping family members at funerals and bomb damage, to better drive the message home.

Otherwise, people are going to just watch and go "yea, yea..."
