Wow, Ok assuming we find usable oil out at sea (in 20+years), does this guy actually believe the oil companies will honestly pass the savings on to the average consumer? Fuck NO! It will just make them even richer! Besides we as a country might want to consider focusing our remaining petroleum to make plastics, instead of foolishly using the majority for fuel. If you give me a choice of a source of plastics for the long term future or a 100 million trips to he 7/11 I'll take the plastic... but I digress.

Anyone here have a link to why that is a lie? Blitzer didn't challenge it but he should have. Off to find a link...

Oil company supplies in the delta WERE severely hit by Katrina. Who knew? Well, lots actually.

44 oil spills found in southeast Louisiana
Largest is nearly 4 million gallons, most big ones are on Mississippi River>

Damage to oil facilities from Hurricane Katrina caused four medium spills (more than 10,000 gallons) and 134 minor spills, in which 8 million gallons of oil leaked onto the ground and into waterways from Louisiana to Alabama

Louisiana's Governor has drunk the koolaid as well. Here he is flip flopping about the spills he complained so bitterly about in 2005 when he was just a lowly congressman. How much is he getting paid? http://thinkprogress.org/2008/06/27/jindal-katrina-oil-spill/
